More About Coach Ethan
I’ve worked with athletes from youth through college levels, providing both private and group instruction. My coaching style is hands-on and focused on developing strong fundamentals, improving game awareness, and building confidence. I specialize in hitting, fielding, and the mental side of the game, with a strong emphasis on film breakdown and routine to help players see and understand adjustments. I’ve coached players in a variety of settings, from individual lessons to team environments, and enjoy tailoring each session to the athlete’s specific goals and needs.
I played collegiate baseball at both the junior college and NCAA Division II levels. I began my career at Los Angeles Harbor College, where I was named LAHC Baseball Athlete of the Year in 2024. I then transferred to Colorado Christian University, where I currently compete at the NCAA D2 level. Competing in the INF at both levels has shaped my understanding of the game, discipline, and work ethic, all of which I bring into every coaching session.
Each session begins with a detailed review of video footage, analyzing your swing, defensive positioning, and overall game performance to pinpoint strengths and areas to improve. This film breakdown guides the personalized plan we develop together.
We then move into targeted drills designed to enhance your hitting mechanics, timing, consistency, and approach, including tee work, soft toss, front toss, and live batting practice. Defensive skills are also a focus, with exercises to improve footwork, glove work, throwing accuracy, and positioning, helping you become a more complete player.
Throughout the session, attention is given to the mental side of baseball. We work on building a confident, focused mindset, learning strategies to handle pressure, adapt to different situations, and maintain resilience on and off the field.
