More About Coach Erlin
I am a 200 hour registered yoga teacher. I began my study of yoga at UC Berkeley under the guidance of Toni Mar. At Cal, I worked with Division I athletes (rugby, football, crew) as well as students at beginning levels. Following graduation, I joined forces with Tom Worthington and Joe Desena to create a retreat program for OCR athletes. I have worked with athletes of all ages and abilities, and find that adapting sequences to different students is one of my strengths.
Athletically, I have competed in a variety of sports, giving me a great understanding of what supplemental fitness athletes need. Having run marathons and triathlons, I especially enjoy working with endurance athletes to fill gaps in their training. Many top athletes have found that adding yoga into their routine has allowed them to remain stronger, fitter and more focused over the years.
We'll start by warming up with dynamic sun salutations. This stretches and invigorates every part of the body to prepare for deeper poses. We will then move into a strength-building sequence, focused primarily on creating a balanced composition. Finally, we will move into deep stretches, targeting areas of the body that hold tension from other activities.
