More About Coach Erin
My first coaching experience was when I was a sophomore at the University of Minnesota and had the opportunity to be a camp counselor, with Minnesota Aquatics, for three weeks. During this time I was able to gain a background in coaching elite and beginner swimmers from the ages of 7-17. I not only wrote practices for the swimmers, but I also corrected their swimming technique and provided mentorship during their time at swim camp.
I have been swimming since the age of 8 and during that time have had many great opportunities. I competed in both the 2012 and 2016 Swimming Olympic Trials in Omaha, Nebraska and was a member of the National Junior Team, where I was able to compete in an open water competition in Hungary. I went on to receive an athletic scholarship at the University of Minnesota where I was a student-athlete for 3 years. While at Minnesota I was a three year letter winner, received an academic all Big Ten team award, and an outstanding student-athlete award.
A client can expect a session running from half an hour to a full hour with hands on training from myself. I have no problem getting in the water with my clients and giving them the example they need to be successful. If a client wants me on the pool deck or in the water I can provide both services. During my time as a competitive swimmer I swam long distance races, so freestyle is my area of expertise, but I am also well versed in the technique of all the strokes.
