Eric currently trains in olympic weightlifting and powerlifting. He is a member of USAPL and USAW.
Eric credits his base of strength as vital to his athletic ability.
Training does not have to be complicated to be effective.
A well designed strength program cuts out the silly exercises often seen in magazines and focuses on compound lifts with progressive resistance each workout. These are exercises including the Squat, Deadlift, Bench Press, Press, and the Clean and Snatch. Work capacity is increased with sprints, rows, sled pushes, carries, etc. The volume and intensity of each will be varied depending on training advancement, but in the beginning a basic linear progression will be utilized for the quickest strength gains.
Sessions will begin with 1-3 strength movements and finish with conditioning/mobility work.
