More About Coach Erica

I have been coaching young athletes for 10 years in peed, strength and conditioning training. I'm a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, hold a Master's Degree in Exercise Science and Performance, and a National "C" Coaching License. I work with 6-year-olds to 20-year-old college athletes at the D1, D2 and D3 levels.

I incorporate strength, speed and agility, and injury preventative work needed to excel as a total soccer player. I expect to work with my clients for the long-run (at minimum 3 months) so they see the best results, and we progress in a way that is gradual and keeps injury risk low.

Most of my athletes work with me on year-round programs (offering in-person and remote), in a small group setting and have trained with me for over 10 years. I have been grateful to see long-term athletic and human development blossom before my eyes.

I am passionate about athlete growth and maturation and ensuring kids work on fundamental movement skills while going through dynamic periods of growth. I also enjoy youth exercise science, strength and speed development, building foundational skills, motor skills, and developing speed and power. I have trained athletes who are anywhere from recreational level to academy and ECNL. I accept all levels and get excited about helping beginners, and then challenging them as they get more advanced.

I love working with athletes who are committed to getting better, who will take what I teach to work on at home, and who are committed to training a 2-5 a week for the most magical results. My initial evaluation fee is $125 (a one on session), then group costs are $60 a session.

At the first session, I evaluate their need needs (I use a speed timing system for accurate data, and take them through movement and strength tests to see what imbalances they have and how to improve). I also evaluate attitude and passion to get better to make sure they're a good fit for consistent training.

If they have an insatiable desire to be consistent, I will extend a client offer and we will be on our way to working together to improve their game. I am here to teach and instill good habits in youth soccer players for a lifetime.

First session is an evaluation of movement quality - balance, coordination and rhythm - the foundational skills to speed and change of direction movements. I also evaluate acceleration and speed with timed drills (I utilize a timing system for data collection), and strength of the muscles surrounding the knee joint, as well as core strength to see how athletes control their momentum. In additionally to performance training, I do skill work, but if I have a young athlete, I will prioritize keeping injury risk low, while also making them fast, strong and confident. I believe the skill work needs to be done on their own time, while the most intensive movements (sprints, agility, and strength) done with me.

Client Reviews

Unfortunately Erica did not work out for my daughter because she only focused on speed and agility which was amazing to watch. My daughter needed the most help in ball work. Erica is a great and effective coach and would really help if speed and agility needs improvement. I would highly recommend Erica.

The initial evaluation with erica was great!!

Very personal. Great listener with excellent advice and answers to questions. Coach E has been at the next level and her input and training takes you toward what she believes is necessary to make an impact at the collegiate, NCAA level. Plus, she is in great shape telling me, she lives how she teaches. I would recommend this enthusiastic, and serious coach to any potential college athlete for agility training

Tonight’s assessment went great! We are looking forward to future training sessions.... thanks coach Erica !

Though Allie was very nervous to meet you, it only took minutes for her to be at ease. She had a great workout and even though it was the initial assessment session, she left winded (and she is great shape) which was great to see. She is excited for her next lesson and really feels you can help take her game to a higher level.

Erica is a very good coach. She's highly motivated to help players build up their technical ability in a variety of settings to become the player they have the potential to be. She's got a great demeanor, lots of energy. My daughter has quickly taken a liking to her after just a couple sessions. Looking forward to working more with her this spring as we move through the spring campaign and get ready for tryouts.

Coach Erica did an amazing job training my daughter! She learned key fundamentals that she just wouldn't have learned playing rec soccer alone (footwork, ball handling, etc.). Already seeing a lot of improvement after just a few sessions. Also appreciate Coach Erica's flexible schedule. Will definitely be scheduling more sessions soon!

My daughter really enjoyed her lessons with Coach Erica! V

Coach Erica did a great job; using progression training techniques, and explaining complex technicals in plain, easy language. Thank you!

Coach Erica is a great coach! We were recommended to her by one of my daughter's friends, and we were very happy with the session! I feel like the first session already has helped their footwork. Coach Erica had them work on a variety of footwork skills and shooting. They really enjoyed it! I will recommend Coach Erica to their teammates.

I've really enjoyed getting to learn the game from her. Coach Erica is great at helping you develop your game with the fundamentals to advanced techniques, and I've progressed a lot since beginning to learn from her.
