More About Coach Emmett

Sports have been my life since I was 7 years old, and I always knew I would have a career in sports. Although I have only been training others for a year and a half, athletics have been my focus since my high school football, wrestling, and track days.

Personal training was to become he next chapter in my life upon graduating in 2011 with a kinesiology degree from The Pennsylvania State University. I became certified as a Performance Enhancement Specialist and Corrective Exercise Specialists by the NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) and started building a client base. When I'm not helping adults reach their fitness goals, I'm an assistant Track and Field coach at Edmund Burke School, and I coach other youth through Xcel Fitness and i9 Sports. My goal as a trainer is to provide quality sessions by strengthening hip mobility, knee stability, ankle stability while stabilizing and strengthening the core. I create custom personal training programs to help my clients achieve their goals. As a result of my studies and training experience, I am also able to create highly effective sessions in a performance/corrective exercise balance approach.

What to expect when you train with me: The first thing I hold my accountable is always being on time to all of my session. Also, focusing on my client needs and goals. Everyone has goals and my job has a trainer to make sure you achieve them. Always having the client best interest help me understand my clients everyday. I learn that being a know-it-all defeat the purpose as a personal trainer. Coming with a open heart and mind help you learn from your client. The last expectation I strong myself to is my education. The fitness industries changes day by day because there are trends and fads. Without educated yourself on the do's and don't as a personal trainer, you can seriously injury an client. My job to make sure no one get injury on my watch. Don't forget to........ Always bring your own sunshine!!!!!! Anthony D' Angelo

My favorite type of training is: Circuit training (high-intensity aerobics) is my favorite training method. It is easy for my clients to follow and targets strength building as well as muscular endurance. It also keeps clients focused because it is somewhat repetitive but changes enough to keep interest and not get bored with the workout.

Philosophy: I focus on the individual rather than the exercises. My clients respond best to this holistic education on how to better themselves rather than having exercise dictate our relationship.

I am a humble person and everyday I work with an client is an accomplishment moment for me. I am not a bragger, I just love to help better peoples' lives through fitness.

Based on 3 sessions a week!!!

10 Minutes Dynamic Warm-up
20 Minutes Upper body one day, Lower body another day, Clients Needs on the last session of the week
20 Minutes Core Exercise (run as a circuit)
10 Minutes PNF stretching

always keeping it real and great consistency

Coach Emmett was a true professional but with a heart. He was able to help my daughter through some tough emotions when it comes to her training. He’s knowledgeable about the mechanics and mental aspects of throwing. If you’re thinking about a coach, Coach Emmett should be at the top of your list.

My son loved his session with Coach Emmett, and asked for more while in the car on the way home. He described it as "exhausting in the best way possible."

Today was my son’s 1st training session and he is ready for his next one. Coach Emmett was patient and very knowledgeable about my son’s position. My son said he learned quite a bit today and is looking forward to his next training session.

Coach Emmett was great with my son in training for football. Very good drills that were tailored to address the things my son needed the most work on. Highly recommend.

He was so great with my son. Listened to what his goals and challenges are, evaluated, and then went right in to making improvements. Can’t wait for our next session.

Coach Emmett is a professional coach with a very positive and encouraging attitude. When I started this Spring I had never thrown a Hammer, Shot Put or Discus before. It is now 4 months later and I just came home from a week long, international competition: the 9th World Gay Games (usually a European dominated competition similar to the Olympics but broken into age categories) with a Gold medal in the Hammer Throw, a Silver in Shot Put and a Bronze in the Discus in my age group. USA is now on the map in these throw events because of Coach Emmett's successful coaching and his ability to turn me into a competitive thrower. That is top notch coaching!

My name is Peter H Mesrobian, with the help of Emmett and also self motivation I've worked hard to lose 48 pounds. Emmett is a physical trainer who knows what he is doing. When I first met with him, we discussed my problem areas, challenges and goals in detail. He then formulated a plan of attack, which was executed smoothly. He is an easy going guy; very personable and professional. In addition to the workout routines, Emmett offers nutritional tips. He motivated me to be invested in myself both when working out and in the kitchen. In order to get the most optimal results from exercise, he also offered great nutritional and diet support. He gave me a detailed list of foods to stay away from, good/lean sources of protein, carbs and fat, and the appropriate daily portions of each. I am extremely pleased with the results from his workout routines. Yes, they were hard. But also creative. I never got bored. And I would say they had just right amount of intensity. When the weather was nice enough, we even did some outdoor workouts. He motivated and pushed me and helped me understand that results are obtained when you push yourself. He is strategic in the workout routines he creates, targeting each area - arms, chest, shoulders, core, abs and legs, and incorporating cardio as well. I really could not have asked for a better and more effective trainer. He is really worth the investment. And I should add that, his price is more than fair.
Emmett is a reliable and helpful trainer who accommodates his clients' needs and interests. Soon after starting to work out with Emmett, my father passed away. The morning workouts were a godsend though and have helped me cope with my dad's death. Emmett is knowledgeable and between workouts researches answers to questions he doesn't know. I would recommend Emmett as a personal trainer to anyone looking for a fun, effective training program with a true professional.
Emmett put me at ease at our first session by reacting to my gait problem professionally and immediately adapting our workout session to match my specific needs with my left foot and ankle. He continued to research the issue on his own time, and contacted me with suggestions. He also focused our future sessions so that we spent more time on the weakest area while not neglecting the rest of the body. As a corrective exercise specialist, he has done a terrific job at putting me on the right track for the future.
