I’m Coach Emmanuel, a former professional football (soccer) player from Senegal and an experienced coach with a background in private player development, academy training, and competitive team coaching.
After my professional playing career, I transitioned into coaching and have spent more than nine years training and mentoring youth, amateur, and professional players. I currently coach at a soccer academy, provide individualized training through CoachUp, and have coached two semi-professional teams—winning the league with both.
My training is tailored to each player’s position, experience, and goals. Sessions focus on developing technical ability, tactical awareness, confidence, and overall athletic performance, including strength, explosiveness, coordination, conditioning, and injury prevention.
My goal is not just to put players through drills. I want them to understand the game, become more confident on the ball, make better decisions, and develop skills that transfer directly to match play.
As a former professional player and current coach, I understand what it takes to progress to higher levels of competition. I bring high standards, positive energy, and individualized attention to every session, whether I’m working with a developing youth player or an experienced athlete preparing for the next level.

I competed professionally in Dakar, Senegal for three years before transitioning into coaching and player development.

A typical session with me starts with a quick warm-up and dynamic stretches to get the body ready and reduce the risk of injury. We then move into ball control and passing drills to sharpen technical skills. After that, I focus on game-like scenarios such as small-sided games, movement off the ball, and decision-making under pressure so players can translate training directly into match performance.
Depending on the athlete’s needs, I also work on speed, agility, and explosiveness through ladder drills, cone work, and sprint variations. Strength and conditioning exercises are included to build endurance and prevent injury.
Every session is tailored to the player’s goals. Whether we are building foundational skills or preparing for high-level competition, the training is purposeful, challenging, and fun.

My son is only 10 so im going to write this review on a mix of what he had to say and what we were able to see with the coaching experience. Let me start off by saying, we will absolutely be booking another session. My son is in select soccer and has been going on 4 years now. He says this was by far the hardest session he has ever had and he absolutely loved it. He is the kid that is always looking to be challenged and pushed and that is exactly what he got from Coach Chinonso. He says he needs more time with him and he know he will get way more out of soccer than what hes getting out of his league because of how challenging it is and how hard hes being pushed. Do not hesitate in scheduling a session or 10!
