More About Coach Ellie

I have worked with youth at basketball camps during the summer while I was in high school at Columbine. On top of that, I also took on the opportunity of coaching a youth t ball team the summer going into my freshman year of college with the Foothills Rec Center. While I was at school I would also coach up teammates in one on one practice sessions and help run the youth camps that we hosted as well at Ellsworth CC and Nebraska Wesleyan University. The most experience that I would have is working with kids around the ages of 10-12 years old or around 5-6 years old. I know this is something that I could be good at, since I grew up with four other siblings and I would babysit kids as well all throughout my life. Additionally, I also witnessed both of my parents coaching club and high school athletics as well. Over the summer, I excelled as an assistant women's basketball coach at Bear Creek HS. I had great experiences working with teenagers from the ages of 14-18. I have recently decided to take on a position with the Columbine HS women's basketball program as a head JV basketball coach, and I am looking forward to building more relations and connections in that program!

In high school I was an 11 time varsity letterman in softball, basketball, track, and golf. However, basketball was definitely the sport that I excelled in the most. I lettered all four years and ended up being a 3x all conference player. I would later go onto being a high school record holder for the most career three pointers made. After high school I would go on to playing at Ellsworth CC. I started every single game my two years there and was the highest scoring player that averaged 13.3 points per game. I would go on to break the record for most threes made in a game at 9. Additionally, I would go onto being 5th in a season field goals made, 2nd in season 3 pointers made, and 4th in career three pointers made. I was also recognized as a third team all conference player and was 13th in the whole country for 3 pointers made at a junior college level. I had over 14 scholarship offers from all over the country but I decided to transfer to Nebraska Wesleyan University. I scored the most points in a game in the 22-23 season with 27 points and averaged 60% 3 point shooting.

As their coach I will always focus on doing whatever they would like to focus on during their session. Whether it is focusing on shooting, dribbling, and passing or any other aspect of the game. I can guarantee that most sessions will start off with doing some stretches to get them loose before we begin the part of the session that they would like to work on. After that, I would have them work on some ball handling and work on some warm up shots by doing Mikan drills or starting off close to the rim with one hand and working our way towards jump shots. Again though it would depend on what that individual would like to work on and I would make the session extremely focused on that individual and how we can turn those weaknesses into strengths in that player's personnel.

Ellie was great for our first session! She worked on skills and drills to help my kids improve in all aspects of basketball. They enjoyed their time and want to keep working with her.

My son greatly appreciated Ellie's positivity and mix of fun and work. He feels like he is making great progress and I see improvement in his skills as well.

Coach Ellie did a great job with skills training for my daughter. She is very positive and organized in her approach. Looking forward to more sessions.

Coach Ellie is great - patient and empowers players to be their best.

My daughter just started working with Ellie. I noticed improvements within the first hour. We will definitely continue working with Ellie!

Coach Ellie is awesome!! My 12 year old daughter plays competitive basketball but needs help to fine tune some skills. Ellie is an excellent communicator and super responsive. She is very professional and came to the first lesson well prepared and ready to make my daughter work! They worked through a variety of drills - it seems like Ellie would be able to teach kids anything they need to learn about basketball. We booked several future sessions with Coach Ellie and I can't wait to see the improvement in my daughter's on-court performance.

As a parent, it is essential for me to see my child excel in her chosen sport, and under the guidance of Coach Ellie, she not only improved her skills but also developed as an individual.

One of the aspects that sets Coach Ellie apart is her profound knowledge of the game. Her technical expertise and strategic coaching approach to basketball has provided invaluable guidance for our daughters development. The drills and training sessions have been purposeful and tailored to address the specific areas of improvement for our daughter’s skill level. Additionally, Coach Ellie has proved to be an excellent communicator, keeping us well informed about practice sessions, objectives, and individual progress.

I highly recommend Coach Ellie to any aspiring basketball player or parent seeking an exemplary coach who prioritizes personal growth and character development.

Coach Ellie is Amazing. My daughter's shooting has improved tremendously in just few sessions!!

Coach Ellie came prepared to work. She was organized and ran our daughter through a variety of drills. She was encouraging and focused. Great session and I would recommend her. Our 10 year old daughter was exhausted but encouraged!

Coach Ellie is a very accomplished player. She played at Columbine and went on to play JUCO and finished her playing career at Nebraska Wesleyan last year. She is back in town, and is ready to stay connected to the game and give back. I believe she will offer a great new perspective on the game and will connect well with your daughters!
I was given a tremendous opportunity to meet and play with Ellie for two years at Nebraska Wesleyan University. Ellie is one of the most humble, dedicated, and positive people/players I have ever gotten the opportunity to play with. On and off the court Ellie taught me so many lessons and showed me what being a true leader is. I am thankful to have Ellie in my life and I am grateful to have gotten to play with her.
I have been blessed to play alongside Ellie for the past two years. She is genuinely one of the kindest people you will meet, and no matter what will support you 100%. Whether it was on or off the court Ellie was one of the hardest workers, coming before/after practice get more work in, along with juggling all her internships, jobs, and school work. Ellie puts her heart into everything she does and an overall just good, kind, caring person and even better coach.
