Hi! I'm Ellen Stello. I've had 15 years of competitive swimming experience and am a recent graduate of Northwestern University, where I was co-captain of the Swimming and Diving Team and the 200 Butterfly school record holder. I have experience coaching all ages at my hometown swim club (Milwaukee, WI) and gave private lessons to high schoolers in the Evanston area during my time at Northwester. Specifically, I coached 2 high schoolers to scholarship positions to two Big Ten schools. I am comfortable coaching any age- I've done it all! I know what it takes technique wise and training plan wise to help accomplish the goals you are seeking!

I was a member of the Northwestern University Swimming and Diving team from 2013-2017. I hold the Northwestern school record in the 200 Butterfly and was a top 16 finalist at the Big Ten Championships all four years in the 200 Butterfly and 400 IM. I competed at the 2016 Olympic Trials in the 200 Butterfly.

We will start with your goals and work from there! We will have a focus for each session (stroke, technique issue, etc.) I believe in taking the time to walk through technique because at a certain point, talent and hard work only gets you so far without great technique. I am very receptive to what you need to work and want honest communication about what you want to achieve.
