More About Coach Edward

Coached individual sessions several days a week with ages 10-15 years old and the Pittsburgh Soccer Academy. I have coached in the city of Pittsburgh and surrounding areas. No certs.

All first team ACC for 3 years. won the supporters shield New England Revolution and Pittsburgh Riverhounds. Played in college at Pitt. Continue to still play professionally for Indy Eleven.

Would do a 5-10 minute dynamic warm up. Would go through cones, ladders, and stretching. Would then work on ball work, dribbling, passing, and learn basic techniques. Depending on the position of the player, we can then work on other drills and skills for that position. Forwards would focus on shooting, holding up the ball, and making runs in the box. Midfielders would work on receiving the ball on a half turn, shaking your shoulder, and different techniques of passing the ball. Defenders would work on defending 1v1, receiving the ball while facing forward, passing and defending mechanics.

Client Reviews

My son has had 5 sessions and we’re very happy. Both us (his parents) and his high school coach saw progress in just a few sessions. Edward has made him feel very comfortable and has given him things to work at on his own. My son said he was nice, very knowledgeable, and explained the why behind what he was asking. He was always on time and worked hard throughout the whole session. We were very impressed and look forward to working with Edward in the future.

Edward was great with my 8 year old son. He was well prepared and had great drills to help him with dribbling and controlling the ball. We are going to keep working with him. My son likes him and he is getting much better coaching from Ed than he has been getting from his rec league coaches.

Coach Edward “KIZZA” was phenomenal with our 11yr old son at his first session! He made it fun and engaging and our son is sometimes more reserved/ so this was huge! You can tell he’s incredibly talented but able to teach at any level. We are excited to work with him again soon!
