I have coached athletes ranging from age 7 all the way to current and past NFL players. I currently serve as an assistant coach at North Miami Beach High School and work for one of the largest NFL combine training programs in the country, Bommarito Sports, in North Miami Beach. My specialty is private coaching for defensive backs but I have also coached linebackers, wide receivers, quarterbacks and more.
I was a 1st Team All-Florida defensive back/utility player in both my Junior and Senior year in High School at North Miami Beach and was named the Dade County Player of the Year. I left South Florida after high school to play Division 1 college football at Western Michigan University. I was a 4 year starter in college and was an all conference defensive back my Senior Year. I was drafted into the NFL by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers out of college and after sitting out my rookie year with an injury, I earned the starting role by week 1 in my second year at corner and Nickel Back. I started the remaining 3 years of my tenure with the Buccaneers and signed with the Washington Redskins and played 2 years with them before signing for 1 more year with the Philadelphia Eagles. I was the starting Nickel/Dime Back for all 3 years of my time in the NFC East before signing with New England in my 8th year. I was injured shortly after arrival in New England and released and decided to leave the NFL to begin my career in coaching. My passion is teaching others the game and whether you are an aspiring NFL player or if you are looking to improve your game at any level, I can add extreme value in speed and position training.
My focus is on teaching the fundamentals and individual position techniques using the same drills that helped me to have an 8 year career in the NFL. I will customize each workout to the student who is hiring me to maximize their coaching experience. Whether it is learning a specific position, a need for increasing speed or even mental training to help an athlete to adjust to the next level in their own career, I will be able to teach them and help them to achieve their potential.
