Session Plan

15 mins - Dynamic Warmup- The purpose of the warmup is to warm the muscles up for activity and raise the core body temperature. In addition to warming the athlete up, we will also focus on speed development. Throughout the warmup we will work on speed development drills and mechanics in developing a faster athlete

10mins - Med Ball Routine - This is a routine used to develop explosiveness and power. We will focus on ground based power and learning how to apply force. Athletes must understand the concept of force application and triple extension for every sport and we will spend daily time on these concepts.

20 mins- Daily Fundamentals/Drills- These are skills and drills that should be part of everyday jump sessions. Daily Fundamentals are basic drills that need to done every day. These are skills that are imperative to being a great athlete. Drills are based upon athletes needs and are used as a way to break down something specific into a simpler skill. We will use both daily fundamentals and drills as part of each session.

40 mins – Event Session- We have spent time early in the session breaking things down now we will put everything together. It’s very important that athletes have a chance in every session to participate in the actual event and understand the demands. The only way to improve in each event is through repetition.

5 mins - Cool Down- This is the time where we recover for the next day’s activities and talk about plans and goals moving forward. We will spend time with some light jogging and static stretching. We want to make sure we feel refreshed and take care of all aches and pains.

Film / Video will be used throughout all sessions some athletes can receive biofeedback on a constant basis
