More About Coach DonAndre
I just started training players in 2026. Right now I am just volunteering and working with a couple players at Oakland Tech and Contra Costa Junior College. Ideally I want to work with players between the age 10-20 but I'm open to working with players outside that age bracket.
I played High School baseball at Junipero Serra. Got a scholarship to play at Saint Mary's College of California where I played all 4 years and made 1st Team all WCC my Senior year. Got drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the 33rd round and played for their minor league system from 2014-2016. After getting released I played in a few independent leagues like the Pacific Association, USPBL and American Association.
I'm going to show my clients what I've learned over the years that helped me progress to the player that helped me get a D1 scholarship and drafted by an MLB team. I typically focus more so on specific techniques depending on what the player wants to work on. For hitting I focus more on drills that emphasis on timing and balance as opposed to specific mechanical drills. I believe as long as you can be consistent with your timing and balance as a hitter, you will be able to hit at any level. As it pertains to outfield drills, I focus more on footwork and how to gain ground properly in order to get in the best position to field the ball whether it's a flyball or a ground ball.
