Dino Porcic

I am currently the head women’s basketball coach at Johnson & Wales University. Prior to becoming a head coach I was a Division 1 assistant coach at Merrimack University where I helped coach 3 all conference players and a current overseas professional. Then before my division 1 stint I was an assistant at Rhode Island College and helped win 2 conference championships and coach all Americans. At all stops player development has been my number 1 priority and instilling confidence in players.

I have been coaching and training athletes for over 7 years at all levels starting from middle school all the way to adults. Along with coaching college basketball I coached AAU for the Mass Rivals and Mass Elite where I have sent dozens of kids to Division 1/2/3 & JUCO. I specialize working with high school kids but have trained boys and girls of all ages and helped transition their game.

I have worked with many prep school basketball players (boys/girls) who went on to play college basketball. I also train college athletes as well.

I am a former college player at Nichols College in Dudley , Ma. I went to Putnam Science Academy and Putnam High School during my high school career in which I am 6th all time in scoring with over 1,300 points.

So the first thing is to see what the athletes goals and aspirations are then layout a plan of attack on how we will do so. So there will be a ton of fundamentals and game like situations. I am a huge believer in training game like speed with game like situations so it translates to a game.
All workouts will be based of the athletes needs and goals. Every player is different so not all sessions will be the same. I have worked with players and athletes of all ages and abilities so we will ensure we work on the proper techniques always !
