More About Coach Dexter

I’m a graduate of the Louisiana State University where I was a student athlete from 2009 to 2014. I received my bachelor’s degree in communications and a MALA in kinesiology and business. During my collegiate career, I also served as a defensive back for the LSU football team, where I played majority special teams and was also awarded SEC All-Academic Honors 2012-13. Upon graduation, I began teaching and coaching varsity football and basketball at Christian Life High School. My job responsibilities included serving as a defensive coordinator and managing the strength and conditioning program. Sports and childhood development have always been my passion. Hence, teaching and motivating youth was not a difficult task for me to do. I believe in hard work and gaining the sense of fulfillment in seeing your hard work paid off. By virtue of my degree and experience, I am confident that you will grow not only as athlete but as an individual entirely.

My athletic experience throughout high school and college has left me with honors such as these:

High school:
1st Team All-District in Football and Track Field
All-State Defensive Back
Runner-up 1A State Championship

College:
2010 Chick-Fil-A Bowl Champion
2011 SEC Champions
Chain Gang
L-Club (Four Year Letterman)

Training sessions last 1 hour and will include a combination of the key components: speed, flexibility, acceleration and deceleration, functional strength training, plyometric, along with skill specific training. Sessions would closely simulate this schedule:

Dynamic Warm-up: 10 minutes
High Intensity Workout: 25-30 minutes
Skill-specific development: 20-25 minutes
(Workout increments are subject to change)

After assessing two training sessions, l will build a training calendar around your in-season and off-season to help you have sustained success in your sport.
