More About Coach Devin

My coaching experience come from the coaching I received in both the college and NFL. Having been fortunate enough to have be coached by coaches with over 30 years of coaching experience. This enables me to pass down the knowledge and techniques that I learned. I have trained athletes between the age of 9-18. I have been fortunate enough to put on 4 football camps in Miami, Florida. (Devin Aromashodu football camp). I have also worked with NFL programs such as NFL play 60.

While in high school enjoyed a great career playing on varsity from my sophomore to senior year. I was selected to play in a high school all star game which featured the best players from Florida versus the best players from California. From there I earned a scholarship and played at Auburn University from 2002-2005. While at Auburn I was part of the undefeated 2004 team, that won the Sugar Bowl. I played in the 2006 Senior Bowl, which comprised of all the top senior WR's in college football. I was drafted in the seventh round by the Miami Dolphins in 2006. I won a Super Bowl with the Colts in 2006 and also played for the Bears and Vikings all between 2006-2013.

The biggest misconception is sports is that physical attributes are much more valuable than knowledge of that particular sport. The first few sessions would be on knowledge of the game of football. Since I played wide receiver that is the position I feel most comfortable teaching. In order for that athlete to improve, I would first need to learn what his weaknesses are. This is not only important for me to know but important for him as a player to know. Cones drills would be a huge part of our daily routine. This is needed because a vital part of getting open is how fast you can get in and out of breaks. A couple simple cones drills to start of would be a drill where the cones are set up in a small square. The that athlete, then has to get around the cones as fast as possible without falling but also using proper technique like sinking his hip and dropping his center of gravity. The next drill would be where I set about 4 cones with a distance of 5 yards in between each. From the there I will ask the athlete to run straight ahead and drop his weight and get around each cone as quickly as possible and run to the next cone and do the same thing.
