More About Coach Dennis-Denero
I am a senior at Saginaw Valley State University where my degree program is Health Science, with a minor in Athletic Coaching. I have between 10-12 years of experience of Coaching and Strength and Conditioning Program Design. Throughout the years I have successfully trained youth, high school, and collegiate athletes during their off seasons; The Speed Zone Camp, Assistant Coach for Buena Vista High School, Volunteer Assistant Coach for NFL Flag Football Pee Wee Team, Gifts Need Guidance, Internship with Detroit Pistons Strength Coach Arnie Kander. I am a Certified Fitness Trainer, through the International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA) ; and I am a personal trainer(YouCoach) at YouFit of East Brandon, FL. Also, I am an assistant coach for the TBYFL's Progress Village Panthers Midget Team (11-12 yrs old).
I have competed in recreational and organized sports for majority of my life. After youth sports, in high school i was a three year player and starter on Varsity, and an all leauge player in both sports; and I also ran track. For each of my teams i was a Captain and we won division championships in both Basketball and Football. My senior year I earned an athletic scholarship to St. Joseph's College in Indiana, and recieved the Unsung Hero Award, which was presented by the Varsity Football Coaching staff. I currently hold the longest interception return record for 98 yards, at Birmingham Groves High School in Michigan.
We will work on the child's strengths and weaknesses. Depending on which sport the kid plays, we will train accordingly to what he or she's fitness or skills development goals are. Also, each session will be structured and follow a timed schedule. There will be frequent rest periods and breaks for the athlete to refuel and replenish for energy. If the child is injured or hurt then we will take days off in order for the injury to heal. Our sessions will also involve a bit of fun in order to keep the children motivated.
