More About Coach Denise
Hi! I am Coach Denise and I am a club and a private volleyball coach. I have played the game of volleyball for 13 years and I have coached for 5 years. I work with all ages from 8-18 years so I am very good at adapting to the skill level for each child and help develop the skills and crafts. I am currently a 13s and 17s club coach at Renegades volleyball club. I have a lot ran multiple volleyball camps ,clinics , and developmental training as well with all ages.
I played at a junior college name Frank Phillips and transfer to a NAIA Division 1 volleyball at Lewis-Clark state college. I received the award of best offense player and the player with the most kills in a set (16). In 2017 I was MVP for my high school varsity team and also earned 2nd teams honors the same school year.
I will always start the session with a proper warm up and stretch. The beginning of the lesson is focus more towards fundamentals only and the final 30 minutes will move into more game like situations and IQ situtations. I always encourage questions to ensure the athletes are understanding the information that's being taught. Volleyball has a lot of elements to it to become a great player, it is more than a pass, set , and attack. I will be sure to talk to the parent and athlete to see what exactly they want to focus on or looking to gain from the session. Everything we do builds up to the next thing to keep improving the skills.
At the end of each session the athlete will have some kind of agility train to make the girls quicker on their feet. This includes ladders, jump ropes, hurdles, and cone work etc.
