More About Coach DeAndra
After 4 years of playing Division 1 football I immediately started my football training and coaching career. After my first year as a offensive lineman coach I was promoted to varsity offensive coordinator, strength and conditioning coach, and jv head coach. I am also entering my 4th year as a trainer for Adidas Next Level Sports Training. I’ve spent the last two years training and coaching in Memphis,TN but I have recently relocated to Riverview Florida to accept a football coaching position at Palmetto High School. I have 8 years of experience training middle school and high school athletes. I have 4 years of experience working with pee wee age groups.
I was a 4 year starter at White Station High School in Memphis,TN. I was voted team captain the end of my sophomore year. During my high school career I was voted All region 3 straight years, all state 2 straight years, unanimously selected to the Liberty Bowl Allstar game, and helped lead my team to the school’s first state championship my senior year. After high school I decided to attended the University of Memphis where I competed 4 years of division 1 football before earning my degree.
My training sessions are high tempo, innovative, and professional organized. I pride myself on properly pre planning my sessions, every single step to my training sessions are working towards a specific goal. I practice some traditional training techniques but majority of my sessions consist of newer scientifically proven movements. A typical training session with me will consist of a dynamic warm up, yoga and flexibility work, conditioning, position specific work, a 4th quarter finisher, and a end of session evaluation. My end of session evaluation gives athletes a overview of their performance for that day and certain aspects that the athlete should work on during their spare time. I have a partnership with a lead psychologist with years of experience working with youth. She has a agreed to conduct mental wellness and life skill sessions for athletes. These mental wellness and life skills sessions can be held immediately after training sessions or a time can be scheduled for these sessions.
