More About Coach David

I'm a U.S Marine Veteran who has been coaching athletes of all ages since 2002. I've worked with athletes of various sports who want to develop their running speed or lower body power. I typically work with athletes ages 13+ and up, younger if they have the mental focus for advanced training. I also work with youth who need to improve their overall fitness.

I'm a certified trainer through the National Association of Sports Medicine and am certified by USA Track and Field Level 1.

As a youth I competed and medaled in the Junior Olympics AAU track and Field 4 x 400m relay. I ran track in college at Texas State University and I currently compete as a Master's track and field athlete specializing in 400m and horizontal jumps.

I've also won the title of "Austin's Fittest" 3 years in a row while competing in Austin Fit Magazine's Fittest competition.

I prefer to structure training programs on 6 week cycles, 3 times per week. The starting point depends on what the athlete needs, strength, coordination, or speed. Our starting point also depends on the competitive season.

Coach David worked with my 13yr old daughter, having her do a number of exercises. He is very easy to work with, has a good personality, and seems to know what he is doing in his field (I'm not qualified to comment). My daughter had no complaints other than "that was hard!"
