More About Coach David

Current select baseball coach of 12U and 16U teams. Coached for the past 15 years at age levels ranging from 10U to High School. Also provide individual pitching and hitting instruction for all ages. Working with left handed pitchers is a special passion given my own playing background.

College Baseball: Troy State University (played on the 1986 and 1987 Division II National Championship teams)
Professional Baseball: 5th round draft pick of the San Diego Padres in 1987. Played for 3 years in their minor league system.

Pitching: Focus on building solid pitching form while not trying to fit each player into a single mold. Also place a great deal of emphasis on the mental aspect of pitching in terms of composure/focus and pitching baseball IQ.

Hitting: I break down the batting swing into five stages so it's easy for players at any age to understand.

Coach David was very patient with my son and noticed a flaw in his mechanics during the first lesson. After correcting this issue it provided immediate results. My son is looking forward to his next pitching lesson with Coach David.

Our first lesson with coach Bond was excellent. He was able to instantly notice some flaws in our sons mechanics and get them corrected. He is very personable and our son had a great time training with him. He also was able to give us a good workout plan for home to continue getting better. We plan on training with coach Bond this entire off season because we can already see the results. I recommend coach Bond to any parent that wants to help their childs game improve.

Coach David was extremely knowledgeable and did a great job breaking things down for easy application. My son's throwing mechanics have been off and within minutes Coach David spotted the issue's and did a great job giving my son simple drills to correct the problem. Coach David also made a point to ask me to listen in on his instructions so that everyone was on the same page, which I really appreciated. My son and I would recommend Coach David to anyone.

Coach Bond has been helpful from the get go. My son is already getting rid of his bad mechanics after just one lesson. He is ready to go back and learn more.

Coach Bond was great! He was able to communicate easily with my 12 year old and rather than try to change him, he is working to continue to improve my son's hitting with little tweaks here and there. My son is pretty shy but I watched him respond easily with the coach! We will continue to use him and I would highly recommend him!

My sons did a group lesson to improve their throwing. Coach David was able to identify issues they were having with their mechanics throwing the ball. He broke the throwing motion down into basic parts that we can work on to get the proper throwing mechanics back into their muscle memory. Both kids throwing had improved before the lesson was even finished and I expect even more improvement as we do our "homework" over the next few weeks.

Great, great session with Coach David. Very personable, but didn't waste any time getting to the lesson. Was immediately able to see the flaws in my 10-yr olds swing, and provided step by step feedback that will enable him to move up in the batting line-up. Spoke to my son in a way that he could understand and absorb, and fed me the detail outside the cage. Great follow-up after the session as well. Nice facilities. Saw a difference immediately in team tryouts the next day. My son is definitely looking forward to his next session with Coach David.
