Client Reviews

We're just getting started with Coach Dave. Besides great fundamentals, we're most concerned with motivation, buying into the process, that increased effort will be rewarded. Coach Dave has been wonderful motivating my son. He is looking forward to the next lesson, and putting in more time.

Coach Sauter is a great coach. He covers both the mental and physical aspects of the game. He gives encouragement when needed and celebrates both large and small improvements. He's also realistic about what it takes to be great - practice, repetition, and conditioning. My son and I both highly recommend coach Sauter.

Dave was very friendly and patient. Our son left his session even more excited to learn and play baseball. Thank you, Coach Dave!!

Enthusiastic and is extremely knowledgeable of all aspects of baseball.

Dave is very professional and did a good job coaching my 15year old son. We plan to continue coaching lessons with Dave.

Coach Sauter was absolutely wonderful! My 9 year old son had never played baseball before and I reserved 2 hours with the coach on a Sunday morning. And he was fantastic! After a brief conversation regarding expectations, the coach took off and started instructing the mechanics of hitting, throwing, and fielding with my son. Throughout the instruction, I could watch their interaction from afar, and I could see my son’s enjoyment and could hear the coach’s positive reinforcement.

Towards the end of the session, Coach Sauter provided me with several areas (hitting, throwing, and fielding) to work on with my son. I recorded each area to use as examples when working with my son.

I will continue using Coach Sauter and am looking forward to his next session with my son, building on the mechanics and fundamentals of baseball. And more importantly, my son is eagerly awaiting his next session as well!

Thank you Coach Sauter!

Coach Dave helped my 14 year old son improve on everything after 6 months of not practicing. After a couple adjustments, my son said he was doing better already. Coach Dave is also very flexible with his sessions and you can spend your time on whatever position you want. I would definitely recommend him for anyone!

My son had one session with Dave so far and he absolutely loved it. I am scheduling more sessions for my son.

Nate's session with you was instrumental in him doing well in a following tournament. He implemented your thought out instructions and found them very helpful. We will surely eventually book more sessions with you

Coach Dave is a great coach. He is coaching my 15 and 11 year old sons. Both are learning, building confidence and having fun!

Coach Dave was superb! We had a baseball lesson for our 7 year old. Upon our first meeting he asked for background information so he knew what to focus on. He did hitting the first session and was great at breaking down the swing in an easy way for my 7 year old to understand. At the end of the session he gave us drills to work on and helped me with the techniques so I could work with my son at home to keep up what he was taught at the session. Dave also sent me a follow up email to remind me of what he talked about; which is super helpful to refer back to. The best part is my son loved the practice, wants to go back, and is very excited to practice what he learned at home.

Super solid workout today! My 15 year old son was impressed and is inspired. Dave's knowledge and positive coaching style is motivational. Great work!

Coach Dave did a great job with my 15-year-old. He took his time to identify challenges with my son's swing and plate approach, communicated clear goals, and then used a variety of drills to address those goals. I really appreciated his energy and positive approach.

Coach Dave was on point from the start, he connected with my son immediately, broke his swing down the first session and give him drills and takeaways at the end of the lesson. My son has had 2 lessons with Coach Dave and we are booking our 3rd. His combination of BP, drills and discussion have improved my sons confidence at the plate.

Coach Dave is fantastic and has great presence with kids. I could see the difference in my 8-year-old's throwing after a single session (and my son loved the session as well).

Coach Dave did a great job with my 7 year old. He broke down the basics of swinging a bat in a way that was easy for my son to understand. Coach Dave was super patient and challenged him in age appropriate ways. He made a ton of progress in one session. Coach Dave was great! Highly recommend.

He is so excited and enthusiastic about coaching and really knows what he is doing! You won't be disappointed, Dave is the best!!

Coming all the way from Alaska to have our son train with Dave was a little nerve racking having never met him. He did an excellent job coaching my 10 year old on the level he understood, kept it positive and encouraging, and gave him great tips for homework! Very professional and well worth the money! I saw many other kids being coached by former athletes while we were there and they got just that....a former player with not much true coaching ability. Dave brought an expertise, patience, and relatability that we were thoroughly impressed by. Don't waste your money on just another athlete, contact Dave today! He's worth it!

Coach Dave has been able to connect with my son in a way that none of his sports coaches have. He breaks everything down into simple terms that my 8-year-old is able to process and put into play. Most importantly he has shown my son just how much fun baseball really is and he looks forward to every lesson with coach Dave. Super positive experience, I can't say it enough.

Coach Dave was great to work with. He was very accommodating and flexible when scheduling a session for my 10 yr old son. After explaining our situation to Dave, he suggested a mock baseball tryout to help prepare for little league tryouts coming up, which was just what my son needed. Dave's coaching helped my son in many ways, but most important was a much needed boost in confidence. Dave is positive, knowledgeable and motivating and did a fantastic job keeping my son engaged and interested the entire time. Thanks Dave!

Coach Dave is passionate about baseball and a great teacher. He creates a tailored plan for each player; and provides hands on instruction via a progression of dills. Dave takes his time to explain each drill and provides immediate feedback that's communicated positively. He also sends an email after the lesson that summarizes the teaching points. Great ability to relate to the player.

I have known David for five years in a professional capacity at the University of Jamestown. I have worked with Dave both as a student-athlete, and as an assistant coach in my baseball program. As a student-athlete, Dave was the leader of our baseball team on and off the playing field. He was not only a very talented player, but also a first -class individual. As an assistant coach, David is responsible for recruiting and directing players on a day-to-day basis. The position of a college-level assistant coach demands great communication and organizational skills, as well as a strong sense of loyalty and dependability. These are all areas in which David excels. David has a very positive disposition and is an extremely energetic person. He is always willing to take on new tasks; whether they are directly applicable to his work or not, with a great attitude. He also possesses a tremendous work ethic and continually demonstrates a very honest mentality. David has been an asset to our staff and school, and has made many valuable contributions in the five years he has been a part of the Jimmie Family. I have also had the chance to see David work with the youth of Jamestown in the classroom and on the playing field. Through these observations, I became convinced David truly has a gift for leading and interacting with children of all ages.
