More About Coach Danny
I have coached and trained young players since I was in college. I am a licensed teacher who has worked in public school systems in Northern Virginia where I have had the opportunity to coach, train, and mentor students K-12. I have experience assisting AAU teams and high school programs.
My basketball experiences include: playing high school basketball for a top program in the Washington, D.C. area and nation with Paul VI Catholic High School where I was named 2006 Washington Post 1st Team All-Met, 2006 Virginia Independent Schools State Player of the Year, 2006 WCAC 1st Team All-Conference, playing Division-I college basketball for The College of William & Mary on a full 4-year basketball scholarship and scoring over 1,000 points in my collegiate career, and playing for professional teams both overseas (e.g. Germany, Iceland) and domestically (e.g. NBA D-League for the Erie BayHawks).
Sessions are centered around basketball skill development and will focus on the fundamentals of basketball. Sessions will consist of basketball drills, in which participants will work on ball-handling/dribbling, shooting, 1-on-1 moves, passing, footwork/defense, rebounding, cardio/conditioning, and body weight exercises.
