More About Coach Danny

I have 6 years of experience working with Quarterbacks from ages 8-18, and it is a passion of mine to help young athletes improve in what is one of the most difficult position in sports. While playing college football for five years, I worked with many athletes around the Metrowest area both privately and through youth football camps. Now that I am done playing the game myself, it is my goal to help athletes take their game to new heights through personal training sessions.

I played five years of football at Bentley University where I was the starting QB for three years and a two year captain my junior and senior seasons. After my senior season at Bentley, I was selected as the 2014 recipient of the Harry Agganis/Harold Zinman Award, presented annually by the New England Football Writers to the most outstanding college football player in New England across all divisions. During that season, I broke the single season record for passing yards for the second consecutive year and was elected as the NE-Ten Offensive Player of the Year and an All-New England and All-Region selection.

I was blessed to receive several other honors for athletic and academic performance as well as community involvement. Some of these accomplishments include: 2x Academic All-Conference, All-Region and All-New England selection, Swede Nelson Award, Jack Daly Award.

In our training sessions, we will comprehensively cover what I believe to be the core skills that define the Quarterback position.
1. The Intangibles (Leadership, Mental Toughness, Attitude)
2. Decision Making and Mental Preparation
3. Eye Discipline
4. Footwork
5. Accuracy and Timing
6. Ball Velocity and Trajectory
7. Athleticism and Improvisation

I promise you will not only improve your skills, but you will be given the tools to continue improving from this point forward. I provide comprehensive training on playing the Quarterback position from the proper way to warm up, to footwork and throwing fundamentals, to the mental side of the game- which is by far the hardest and most important aspect of the position.

The sessions will vary slightly each time and build on each other, switching between high intensity physical drills that will improve your arm and footwork, to drills geared towards improving your decision making, timing, and ability to read defenses. Regardless of what type of drill we are doing, we will always keep in mind the intangibles that define a great quarterback and strive to embody those traits.

Depending upon the age, skill level and overall goals of each client, I am more than happy to adjust training sessions accordingly to provide the personalized service you desire. If you tell me that you want to be the best you can be and are hoping to play college football, prepare to be pushed and work very hard.

Above all, these sessions should be fun! To be successful, you need to play Quarterback with an undying confidence and positive attitude, and it needs to be fun for you. I firmly believe that the process of getting better should be an enjoyable one, and so I make sure to keep things light, while also doing everything I can to help you improve with each session and achieve your goals.

Coach Danny is a great coach! I would definitely recommend Danny to anyone who is looking to improve as a QB.

Danny was terrific.....his QB drills focused first on footwork, then moved toward arm action and postitioning, before they got into full on throwing drills w receivers....saw great improvement in 3 of my QB's ....the 4th QB in attendance was pretty advanced so the only feedback I would give is make sure Dan recognizes where he might need to create separate, more advanced drills for different levels.....but the QB's dad was very complimentary of the drill work Dan had him do.

Voted one of New England's best players in 2014-2015, Dan was a pleasure to work with. Highly intelligent, his experience with spread and pro style offense, and in particular his understanding of defensive schematics will help take your athlete to the next level.
