Damond is a 1983 graduate of John Bartram High School, where he earned First Team All Public and First Team All-City Honors as an offensive and defensive lineman. He played in the 1983 Philadelphia City All-Star Football Game. He went on to Cheyney University where he started as a Tight End and Offensive Guard. He graduated from Cheyney in 1987 with a degree in Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Management. After working in the hospitality industry for several years, he decided to become a teacher and football coach.
He was named Head Football coach of Bartram High School in 2004. His best season came in 2008, when the Braves were 10-2, won their division, and made the Public League Playoffs. In 2009, his last season coaching, he led a young Braves team to the school’s first win over the legendary Frankford Pioneers since 1976! The Braves beat Central in the first round of the playoffs before falling in the second round to the eventual Public League Champions, George Washington High School. His record in 6 seasons as the Head Coach of Bartram H.S. was 43 wins & 23 losses.
Damond has earned 2 Masters Degrees and a Principal Certification from Cheyney University. In his spare time he enjoys writing poetry. In 2007 he was inducted into the Bartram High School Wall of Fame.
His greatest accomplishments have been getting countless young men into college, motivated by football, and creating life-long mentoring relationships with many of the youths he has worked with over a 23 year career as an educator.

Clients that book sessions with me will get individualized or small group warm up and stretching sessions that are critical before the start of any athletic activity. As a former head football coach, I have had the pleasure of coaching every football position at the varsity high school level, except kickers and punters. Therefore, the specific drills and techniques will vary by the position that the client wants to be trained in. I specialize in developing great offensive and defensive lineman. There will always be some speed and agility infused within the session. If the client wishes, sessions can focus solely on speed, agility, or strength training at times. Here is a sample workout session:
1. Light Jogging / Or Striders - The amount will depend on the clients age and level of conditioning
2. Exercise / Stretch Period
3. Agility Period - This will be skill specific based on the position (s) the client is being trained for
4. Skill Development - Specific Skills for the position will be taught. Additionally, proper heads up tackling and a variety of blocking techniques will be taught as well.
5. Speed Development, Conditioning, and or Strength Training - This will depend on the age of the client, what they want from their sessions, and the number of sessions booked.
6. Cool Down and Tips - This will focus on warming down physically, but also being coached up mentally about doing the right things both on and off the field. Information on proper hydration and nutrition will be recapped. Water breaks are taken as needed throughout the session.
