More About Coach Courtney

I am currently the Head Coach at the Rivers School in Weston, Ma and the assistant coach for the Boston Pride of the Premier Hockey Federation. I have worked as an assistant women's ice hockey coach at the collegiate level, spending two seasons at Boston College and one season at Dartmouth College. Prior to my college coaching experience, I spent from 2011 to 2016 coaching at Cushing Academy. In addition to my work at each of these schools, I have worked many camps and clinics in the Boston area working with young players, ranging in age from 7 to 23 years old.

I was a member of the UNH women's ice hockey program for five seasons where I was an assistant captain as a senior. During my time as a wildcat, I was a part of a program that won four Hockey East regular season titles, three Hockey East Tournament titles and captured three NCAA Tournament berths. I was drafted by the Boston Blades of the Canadian Womens Hockey Leagues following the completion of my senior season.

All of my lesson plans are designed for the development of each individual athlete. We will work together to build on your strengths and weaknesses during each lesson. Through experience playing and coaching at some of the highest levels, I have learned what it takes to be a successful hockey player!

Courtney is doing an amazing job with my 6 year old! He went from barely being able to control the puck to actually stick handling and shooting on net.

I was so impressed with the session that my daughter did with Coach Courtney. Courtney was extremely enthusiastic and motivating. She honed in her weaknesses right away and was able to make changes that were clearly visible only a few days later in two games. Not only that, but my daughter's confidence has sky-rocketed as she, too, has been able to make immediate corrections in her skating, stick-handling, and shooting. We can't wait to work with Courtney again to get ready for tryouts this spring. Can't recommend her enough to new or experienced hockey players looking to up their game.

The session went very well. Just from one 50 minute session I feel like I improved a great amount. Coach Courtney was very helpful, she gave good tips and explained everything well. I would love to be able to do another session.

Coach Courtney is fantastic. She has been working with our son for the past couple of months and his skills improve noticeably with each session. She is great with kids and keeps my son motivated and excited to skate his best and practice outside of the ice as well. He looks forward to skating with Coach Courtney every time.
