More About Coach Courtney

I have 5 years training athletes. While I specialize in football, I've trained just about every sport. I've coached at the youth, high-school and collegiate level. I've worked for a number of gym/sports performance facilities. Most notably being Head Strength & Cond. Coach for Shockwave Strength & Performance, THE Premier Sports Performance facility located in the Hampton Roads Region. I've worked for Frame Fitness as the Director of Sports Performance and as a Personal Trainer at a local box gym Crunch Fitness. I work with all age groups. I'm an industry certified Personal Trainer, Sports Performance Specialist and Certified Strength & Conditioning Coach (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). I also hold a Bachelors Degree in Kinesiology from Hampton University.

My specific athletic accomplishments are ones I'm proud of. I was a standout high-school athlete within Baltimore City and the surrounding area(s). I was an all-city and all-state selection many times throughout my high-school career. I was ranked top 20 in the State of MD my senior year of high-school (football). I participated in the inaugural MD-DC Crab Bowl, the NFL Network NJ vs North East game, and I was also selected as a Baltimore Touchdown Club Super 22 athlete. I garnered many Division 1 football scholarships. I attended The University of Nevada Las Vegas on a full athletic scholarship as well as Hampton University. After college I played professionally for the NFL's Washington Redskins, CFL's Edmonton Eskimos and AFL's Los Angeles Kiss.

A client can expect an intense atmosphere with a lot of energy present. My philosophy is simple "outwork the competition". What others won't do we will do and what they do well, we'll do better. My utmost importance when training is instilling confidence and letting my athletes know I genuinely care, because they don’t care until they know you care! I focus on the basics and fundamentals and progress from there. A lot of footwork, because footwork is the foundation of any great athlete and a lot of reps and sets of doing the basic needed to excel at your position. I believe in building a solid foundation.

Working with Coach Bridget was the best decision my wife and I could have made to prepare our son for the upcoming Football Season. Day 1, he looked faster, stronger and more prepared than 99% of the other players on the field. If you want to set yourself apart from the masses, Coach Bridget has the knowledge and experience to help you meet your short and long term goals. Highly recommended!
I can proudly say I am now a college athlete! With the help from Courtney, he got me the strength and motivation I needed to be a college athlete. He was not my first trainer, but definitely one of the most impactful and successful trainers I've had. I would recommend training with him to anyone!
Working with you helped me improve in every aspect of my game. I was quicker, stronger and reacted better. This all helped me achieve all the goals I had set for the next season! Thank you for everything!
Aheads up, Jae looks good for the first week of practice. He looks stronger, faster and better prepared than anyone on the field. Appreciate you taking him under your wing.
Eli's made so much progress from last year to this year. Granted last year was his first year so we expected some improvement in his game, but we never expected this. His confidence is high and he's moved positions from offensive line to running-back. We just want to give you a BIG THANK YOU for working with him this summer.
Last week football started and they had skills competition/combine all week. Brayden finished top 3 in each even and was first in a couple of the events. Appreciate your work with him and pushing him to do his best.
