More About Coach Colton

I have coached youth travel baseball and helped in coaching high school baseball when I was in college. The kids I coached varied from ages 8-16 and were from a handful of different areas in Connecticut. I have also coached baseball camps for Yale University which consisted of high school players.

I was the captain of the Yale baseball team in 2025 so I have experience leading players and understand what it means to not only be a good baseball player but a good person. During my time at Yale I was a 3 time all-Ivy selection as well as an Ivy league champion. I was drafted in the 7th round to the Mariners in 2025, and I am currently pitching in the Mariners org. I just finished my first professional season in High A where I have enjoyed a rise in prospect status.

I have a deep passion for the game of baseball as it has led me to a lot of cool places and allowed me to experience growth on and off the field. I hope to bring this passion for the game to my training sessions. I truly believe simplicity and focused work is the best way to see consistent improvement, so I will always ensure what I am relaying to the athlete is digestable and something they can see benefit in. At the end of the day its their career and not mine, so if they don't understand what I am showing them and we are not on the same page there, I am not doing my job. As for instruction, external stimulus and body awareness are methods I use to increase my performance, so that will serve as a good baseline in my teaching. However, every athlete is different, so I will have to gain an understanding for the athlete before I can provide any specific instruction.
