More About Coach Christian
I have experience coaching and training track and field athletes with a focus on sprinting, speed development, and overall athletic performance. My background comes from both competing in track and field and working with young athletes to help them improve their speed, technique, and confidence in their events.
I have trained athletes primarily at the middle school and high school level, working with sprinters and athletes in speed-based sports who want to improve acceleration, sprint mechanics, and conditioning. My coaching focuses on proper sprint form, explosive starts, strength development, mobility, and injury prevention.
In addition to structured training, I have developed training plans and workouts for groups of athletes, helping them stay in shape during the offseason and improve their performance during the season. I enjoy breaking down sprint mechanics and teaching athletes how to train with purpose so they can see real improvements in their performance.
I typically work with athletes ages 12–18, but I am comfortable training athletes of different skill levels, from beginners learning the fundamentals to competitive high school athletes looking to improve their times.
My approach to coaching emphasizes discipline, confidence, and proper technique, helping athletes not only improve their performance but also develop a strong work ethic and love for the sport
I was an elite-level sprinter specializing in the 100m and 200m with personal bests of 10.00 in the 100m and 20.4 in the 200m. I attended Fountain-Fort Carson High School, where I won 10 state championships in sprint events and relays.
I began my collegiate career at Barton Community College before transferring to Liberty University, where I became the school’s only three-time conference champion. While at Liberty, I helped lead the 4x100m relay team to the first national championship appearance in school history, breaking the school record multiple times during the season.
I also had the opportunity to compete internationally at the FISU Games in Brazil and was recognized as America’s Most Decorated Athlete during my career.
My experience competing at the state, JUCO, NCAA Division I, and international levels allows me to teach athletes the techniques, training habits, and mindset needed to perform at a high level.
A typical training session with me is focused on speed development, sprint mechanics, and explosive power. Every session starts with a dynamic warm-up and mobility work to prepare the body and reduce injury risk. From there, we move into sprint drills that focus on proper mechanics, including posture, arm action, knee drive, and stride efficiency.
After drills, athletes will work on acceleration and top-speed training, depending on their level and goals. This can include start work, short sprints, resisted runs, or technique-focused sprint reps to improve power and speed. I also incorporate plyometrics and strength-based movements that help athletes develop explosiveness and better force production.
Throughout the session, I focus heavily on teaching athletes why we do certain drills, helping them understand how to improve their form and performance. I also provide individual feedback and adjustments so each athlete can continue developing efficient sprint mechanics.
My goal in every session is to help athletes run faster, move more efficiently, and build confidence in their abilities while training in a structured and positive environment.
