More About Coach Chris
I have trained collegiate athletes, age group competitors and recreational athletes. I am currently the founder of Type 2 Sports LLC and am an elite/master coach with Peaks Coaching Group. I hold a level 2 Cycling certification from USA Cycling, Ultrarunning with UESCA, and Sports Nutrition Coaching with a specialization in Weight Loss through NASM
2023 Texas State Time Trial Champion (55-59 age group). 2014 Overall ranked #2 in Texas (TXBRA). 1st place in age group at Irving Marathon (10K) in 2024 and numerous top 10 finishes in trail running.
Individual sessions are based totally on the athlete's goals, current level of fitness, and time availability. For example, an initial testing session would involve a review of procedures and a check for understanding and an opportunity to clarify any questions or make revisions based on the athlete's need along with pre-meeting instructions for nutrition, sleep, warmup etc. During the test, I provide encouragement and correction if needed. At the end of the session I hold a recap with initial data and get the athlete's feedback.
