More About Coach Chavez
My experience with coaching and training spans 6 years. As a coach I have trained athletes from youth to college levels. Specifically, training AAU basketball camps to High School football. I worked for former NFL Raven, Ray Lewis at his fitness camps for four years. I worked in the Sports Medicine/ Athletic Performance Department at Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland for 2 years. I have a B.S. degree in Exercise Science from Morgan State University. Also, I'am certified as a Certified Personal Trainer through (International Sports Medicine Association). I have designed fitness programs for a variety of youth and collegiate sports which include track, football, basketball, volleyball. Primarily I conduct analysis testing for athletes testing there strengths and weaknesses. From there I put together comprehensive programs that address your needs (speed, agility, strength, power etc.). Primarily I do obstacle courses, core training, and HIIT. Putting together different aspects of training which enhances athletes performance for top level competition. In my sessions I split my training sessions into 4 phases that work on a variety of mechanics (push, pull, core, lower body, upper body)

1.)A typical training session with me contains the following. In the first phase we will begin by developing all around general physical preparedness (GPP). In this phase you might notice a lack of exercises specifics. This is because we are working on your general fitness. The strength or endurance you develop in this first phase will carry over into any physical activity you do in life, and will form the foundation of the future phases of the program. The conditioning you develop during this time will be maintained through the future phases of training.
2.)The second phase will focus on cardio, the third on strength, and the fourth on flexibility and mobility. The final four-week phase will be a cutting phase, for use in preparing for a athletic event or upcoming season.
3.) 5-10 minute dynamic warm up, 30-minute strength/speed sessions, then cool down.
4.) Example: first with the sprint portions of the cardio, and then with some of the strength training Once you have recovered begin adding back exercises slowly to find your limit. Incorporating different exercises with weight and so forth from there. ending with a cool down to control heart rate.
