More About Coach Catherine

To try to keep this short, I have coached not only track and field teams but football and basketball teams at college level and high school level just to keep them and help them get back into shape. I helped them not only become game ready physically but mentally ready, because if you are a true athlete you know that 90 percent of your performance is mental. I have coached and still coach at high schools in Hartford, Simsbury, and Bloomfield CT and now here in Massachusetts at Bradford Christian Academy and Ayer High School. I have been the assistant head coach for the sprints and hurdles at Lasell College. I have coached at Weaver High School, Hartford High School and Simsbury High School in Connecticut. I also have worked with UCONN and Temple University football players.

At the age of 12 I was number one in San Diego in the 800 meters, 200 meters and 100 meters. At the age 14 I was number 2 in the country in the 4x100 relay, 4x400 relay and 200 meters. At the age 16-19 I was number one in Connecticut in the 55 dash, 55 meter hurdles, 300 meter dash, 4x100 meter relay, 4x200 meter relay, and 100 meter hurdles and the 300 meter hurdles. Now I have just graduated from Boston University with a full scholarship. My accomplishments their are all online on the Boston University website. I have competed all over the country since the age of 9 years old. I have competed at the Junior Olympics, USA track and field, AAU track and field, and PENN relays and ect

Personally, I like to get to know my athlete first. So I talk to them to see where their mind is and essentially what they want to achieve themselves. I want to know what they want to achieve from working with me and depending upon what they want to work on is where my focus will lie. Typically, every athlete I work with will do a complete warm-up which is about 40 minutes to an hour. Which will include intensive drills and dynamic stretching. I believe in getting your muscles and body fully warmed-up before the actual work-out begins. The actual workout will depend upon what me and the athlete speaks about and what specifically they want to work on.

Coach Catherine is awesome! She has corrected my daughters running technique which was improved her times for the 100 and 200 meter dash. She is by far the best coach my daughter has ever had!!

Coach Catherine definitely knows her stuff. We'll be back this weekend. In one session my daughter shaved .3 off her 100 hurdles and PRed. Do I need to say more?

my son, Jake, and I met with Catherine for the first time yesterday. Our intention is to improve Jake's foot speed, quickness and overall sprinting.
