I have been coaching since 1992, where I began my coaching career in Springfield, Missouri at Drury College. I moved to Clearwater, Florida in 1993, where I became the Head Age Group Coach for the Clearwater Aquatics Team. From there, I was an assistant at Florida State University for 3 years. In 2000, I moved to Largo, and took the Head Coaching position at West Florida Lightning Aquatics, where I am today. I coach all ages, and levels of swimming, and have had the pleasure of working with beginners through Olympians. Our Masters team at WFLA is home to athletes ranging from fitness swimmers to open water swimmers and triathletes. I enjoy working with anyone and everyone with an interest in the sport of swimming.

As an athlete, I am honored to be in the Drury College Hall of Fame. I was a member of the NAIA National Championship team of 1992. I held the butterfly record at Drury for many years. As a coach, I have been honored with being recognized as the Florida Swimming Age Group Coach of the Year. I have also served at several National Select Camps ( on the coaching staff).

A session can be tailored to meet individual needs. I can provide training workout design, stroke critique and instruction, video sessions etc. I will do small group lessons as well if desired.
