More About Coach Carlos
Born and raised in Brazil, soccer is considered be part of my DNA. I have coached all ages in the sport from 6 years old to adults. I'm a Regional Director for Coerver Coaching Southeast, former coach for Brevard SA and former coach at South Brevard FC. I coach because I strongly believe in giving back to the community, because other people did it for me and I’m passionate about helping people grow and develop.
Education:
BS Sports Management.
USSF F License.
USSF E License.
United Soccer Coaches Goalkeeper Levels 1, 2 and 3.
Coerver Coaching Diplomas 1 and 2.
NFHS Accredited Interscholastic Coach.
CPR Certified.
I competed back in high school in Brazil and state championship. I was an average player, yet was still selected as Captain of our state championship team proving that everyone can contribute. I constantly battled to find playing time and believe that courage, character and hard work are some of the most important attributes to a successful player – and person. Those concepts reside in the core of my being. While not everyone has the pure talent to become the next Messi or Naymar, everyone can display those core characteristics and find a level of success on a field by doing so. I am a true believer in the overall team concept where everyone can find a role.
I believe the game is the best teacher, so we will work to be active on the field as much as possible. I will come prepared to each session with a plan that meets the athlete needs.
