More About Coach LaShay
I have hosted classes on my own, marketing to the community and renting spaces myself. I have experience in one on one training as well, focusing my services on their personal goals in yoga. I teach classes at an established studio every week as well. I specialize in foundations and instructing proper alignments and modification/variations, but I also host all level classes where I am accustomed to catering to both beginner and experienced yogis in one class.
I earned my Yoga 200 YT certification online with ISSA this recent spring, 2024. I currently teach at a yoga studio, Light on Yoga, and I have hosted my own classes and worked with private clients in my community.
I offer modifications as well as challenging variations so that my students can practice and develop at their own level. My flows are based within the meditation or theme I chose for clients based off of their personal goals, physically, spiritually and emotionally. One example would be a heart opening class, that flow focused on chest openers and the meditation was for matters of the emotional self. Another would be a grounding class where the meditation and flow had a theme of a calm self confidence. My favorite theme and flow was for "endless possibilities". That flow began with a calm mediation paired with a traditional flow and as class progressed, we added to the base flow with the intention of unlocking new perspectives. I also focus on the physical aspect of yoga and how it relates to the body. For example, foundations in core work, proper body engagements and body control!
