More About Coach Caitlin

Running performance specialist and coach for all levels of runners. I have been coaching for over four years and specialize in long distance training (5000m to marathon). I have helped several athletes qualify for the Boston and NYC Marathons. My first athlete has progressed from 2:55 to 2:36 in the marathon. I focus on not only the physical components of running, but also on the mental techniques that are critical to excel in the long distances.

I offer three types of services:
1) In-person session. In this session, we will likely do a time trial on the track so that I can get an idea of what kind of shape the athlete is in and how to tailor our future workouts together.

2) In-person session + Training Plan: We will meet in person and then I will create a training plan tailored for your goal race. This option provides unlimited email / text / calls and is best for those who want to be held accountable to their progress. This is best for those who may encounter circumstances that require adjustments to your training plan. Also, humans tend to perform at a higher level when they are held to a standard: accountability is far greater with personal coaching, than on your own training. That's because you feel committed to a coach who wants you to succeed. (I motivate you to keep going!)

3) Training Plan. This one is the simplest, and I will write you a training plan based on the race you are targeting. We will still need to meet in person once so that I can make sure it's a good fit.

In all in-person sessions: I will first focus on getting to know the athlete. I will ask questions to understand your individual training mentality and running philosophy. I then will perform an individual gate analysis. Every session includes a series of dynamic warmups, mobility drills, form mechanics drills, core and general strength routines and usually some track intervals depending on how you prefer to use the time with me. I also offer training plans for people not in the region, so that is always an option as well.

We can do a mix of in-person coaching as well as online training plans with a mix of calling, texting and emailing. Please let me know if you're interested in the hybrid plan and we can create a custom plan together.
