More About Coach Brian

My Coaching experience;
* 8 years experience as a middle school coach.
* coached both boys and girls teams
* coached a combined 20 seasons of summer league and regular season recreation department and YMCA basketball from ages 7 through 13.
* coach 3 high school level AAU teams.

I specialize in shooting but will incorporate passing, defense, dribbling, boxing out, screening, and other fundamentals of basketball. A typical workout starts with a dynamic warm, followed by form shooting. I am a big fan of form shooting to develop proper form. Next, working on in-game-like shots with proper footwork is essential. Fundamentals like catch and shoot, pump fake dribble shooting, jump shots off the dribble, moving around screens with catch and shoot, etc. My shooting program is a very ground-up, sequential routine that builds on the previous skill.

I played high school basketball. I am from NC so basketball is in my blood. I have been a basketball fanatic and player since middle school. I have coach multiple seasons during the year for the past 16 years. I am happiest when on the court, studying and creating new offenses or individual drills.

All workouts are made for the needs of the athlete. Here is a typical session.

Start with a warm up drill, something to get the blood circulating.
Form Shooting drill.
Freethrows.
Footwork drill.
Game situation drill.
Freethrows.

A player can expect to shoot 200 to 400 shots a session.

Coach Brian is absolutely amazing! He coaches my 9 year old son who has had very minimal basketball coaching. He's only had 5 lessons and I already see major improvement in his dribbling, shooting and ball handling. Coach Brian is also very personable. My son loves learning from him, and we look forward to signing up for more lessons:) Shannon

Coach Brian was a good coach! He gave my son new techniques to work on that would help him prepare for his college basketball try-outs. My son was very pleased with his basketball knowledge and training they did during their first session!! They work on shooting, footwork and a few other skills. My son didn't like the location and he was kind of disappointed about it, but it was a good session and it didn't rain!! I would recommend Coach Brian to anyone!

Coach Nance is awesome with children. He doesn't get frustrated that they may not know the fundamentals and he works with them on everything. My children are thriving with him.

I would recommend coach Brian for anyone any age . He's working with my 8 year old saw improvement after one session signed up for more the same day , great coach great person !

After only 1 session my son can't wait to for the next one. In just the first few minutes you can tell Coach Brian knows basketball and has a passion for the game. I would and will definitely recommend him to family and friends.

Coach Brian is a great coach! My son enjoyed the first session and is excited about the next one. I would definitely recommend Coach Brian for basketball training.

My son really enjoyed his first two sessions with Coach Brian N. Coach Brian has a great way of communicating basketball fundamentals, proper form, and the logic / importance of both to our middle school athlete. He has been playing since he was 6, but has never had a coach deliver this level of skill development before. Coach Brian followed up the first session with a tailored home practice drills worksheet that our son was eager to use. We very pleased and look forward to the next session.

Coach Brian is great with young kids. He teaches without being negative. He wants lessons to educational but fun.
