More About Coach Brandon
I have a lot of experience coaching and training elite athletes! I am the current lead assistant men’s basketball coach at Life Pacific University. I train many of our athletes at the college as well as younger athletes ages 7 and up! I also coached at another NAIA powerhouse in Hope International University, where I played at. I have also worked out with and trained a couple professional athletes playing basketball overseas.
I competed at the college level at Hope International University, where I also got my bachelors degree in business with a concentration in sports management. I graduated there in 2020 and had professional opportunities overseas, but however that is right when Covid-19 hit hard so I decided not to pursue that. In college, I had a major role on our team as a shooter, leader, and point guard, and helped lead our team to two national tournament appearances in Kansas City. In high school, I graduated from Green Valley High school In Henderson Nevada. I was second team all conference my junior year as well as my senior year with many college offers at the NCAA D2 level as well as NAIA.
In regards to session planning, I place a big emphasis on basketball skill development, mental and physical toughness, character development, and leadership development. I believe that there are so many life lessons to be learned through the game of basketball, and I always encourage athletes to develop their life skills as well as basketball skills. A typical skills session looks like a big emphasis on skill development, including ball handling, shooting, passing, moves off the dribble, in game situations and reads, and conditioning. I like to keep everything simple, and make players great at the core aspects of the game.
