More About Coach Blake
I have experience working alongside top player development coaches, training NBA, overseas, and Division I athletes. Currently, I focus on middle school, high school, and college players, tailoring development to their age, skill level, and long-term goals. My training emphasizes core fundamentals — ball handling, footwork, shooting, and decision making — applied in game-like situations to maximize on-court performance.
I was a four-year varsity player in high school and earned First Team All-League honors twice. After high school, I went on to compete at the NCAA Division III level, where I further developed my game and gained valuable experience playing against top competition. These experiences shaped my understanding of the game and continue to influence how I train and develop athletes today.
A typical session is built around fundamentals executed at game speed. I start with dynamic warm-ups and ball-handling drills to sharpen coordination and footwork. From there, we move into shooting progressions, finishing at the rim, and situational reads that translate directly to in-game performance. Each workout is tailored to the athlete’s position, age, and goals, ensuring they’re challenged while building confidence. My goal is to create an intense but positive environment that pushes athletes to refine their skills and apply them effectively in competition.
