More About Coach Ava
I have coached both boys and girls of all ages, ranging from 3 to 15 years old. I have been a soccer trainer for 4 years now, working for the East Greenwich Soccer Association. I am also the head coach of the 2016 Girls Kingsway Premier EDP team! Along with that, I have trained various teams in the South Jersey travel league as well as EDP.
I have played soccer for various clubs and travel teams since I was 4 years old. I was the captain of my High School Varsity Soccer Team as well. Currently, I am a freshman playing at Rowan College of South Jersey. During my first college season, I was awarded First Team All-Region and led the country in assists! My team placed 5th in the National Tournament.
My typical session plan will consist of fitness/strengthening to start, followed by some technical foot skill work as well as passing. Following that, I like to focus on some shooting or a skill of the player's specific soccer position. Each athlete will require a different plan depending on their strengths and weaknesses. I make sure to motivate the player and encourage them to ask questions throughout the session.
