More About Coach Austin

I have been training and working with elementary-high school athletes since 2019. I got into training when I spent the spring and summer of 2019 working under Brandon Ball, one of the best trainers in New England. In these four months, I helped run daily individual and group workouts for dozens of high level middle and high school athletes. Upon graduating WPI, I returned as an collegiate assistant coach. My role at WPI included scouting personnel and player development. Currently, I am an assistant coach at Dexter Southfield in Brookline.

I played four years as a varsity starter at Acton-Boxboro Regional High School, where I was a team captain and DCL All-Star in my junior and senior seasons. In my senior year, our team reached the state final four and won a conference championship.
After high school, I decided to commit to WPI, one of the top D3 basketball programs in New England, to play under Coach Chris Bartley. At WPI, we went to the NCAA elite eight, won two conference regular season and one post season championship. I served as a team captain my senior year.

A typical session will start with strength and agility work, consisting of band, balance, and ladder exercises. We will then transition to drills to develop ball handling with an emphasis on pace and rhythm, form shooting and finishing. Once we establish a solid base of fundamentals, we will begin to incorporate in-game situation moves and shooting.

Client Reviews

My son is 12 and plays both basketball and football. We had a wonderful experience with Coach specifically working on agility and shooting, as well as over all fitness. Highly recommend.
