More About Coach Austin
I am a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with the National Strength and Conditioning Association.In addition I am certified through the United States of America Weightlifting as Sports Performance Level 1 Coach. I also have a master's degree in Kinesiology specializing in Strength and Conditioning as well as Human Movement and Performance. I have been a strength and conditioning coach for athlete ranging from age 12 through Division I college athletics. I started coaching for Deluca's Sport Performance in Melbourne FL. There I trained mostly age 12 through high level High School athletes. Then in graduate school I had the opportunity to train Western Illinois University's Football, Softball and Women's Golf teams.
I played football all the way through my freshman year of college at Rockford College. After an injury I transitioned to playing Lacrosse for the rest of my undergraduate experience and Western Illinois University
A typical training session with me start with a warm up specific to the workout for the day and any pre-hab exercise will be done at this time as well. Afterwords we will move into the strength development and/or conditioning exercises that are determined by the goals of the athlete. The end of the session will be comprised of stretching and cooling down from the sessions activities.
