More About Coach Arthur
Welcome to the Sandlot! My name is Arthur B., and I am the Head Coach and Director for the King of Kings Baseball Club in Renton, WA. The King of Kings Baseball Club is a No-Cost Youth Baseball Program that serves the Benson Hill Community of Renton, WA. Our Baseball Club is registered and insured through P.O.N.Y. (Protect. Our. Nations. Youth.). Funds raised from private lessons and field reservations go towards our No-Cost Youth Baseball Program. The King of Kings Baseball Club owns the baseball field and all of the necessary equipment that allows us to provide high-quality private lessons and field use for both practices and games. We have years of experience coaching P.O.N.Y. Baseball - ages: Pinto (7 & 8), Mustang (9 & 10), Bronco (11 & 12), Pony (13 & 14), Colt (15 & 16), and Palomino (17 & 18). Discount rates for recreational/non-profit baseball clubs. Please contact Coach Arthur for additional details.
At the King of Kings Baseball Club, baseball is our specialty. I have been coaching and directing baseball organizations since 1998 (City Recreational Leagues, Little League, Sandy Koufax, Babe Ruth and Cal Ripken, and P.O.N.Y.). I am the Northwest Region League Contact for P.O.N.Y., and Head Coach and Director for the King of Kings Baseball Club in Renton, WA.
A typical session provided by the King of Kings Baseball Club will be between 1 and 2 hours long. We will start out with a discussion with the athlete/parent about goals and expectations, and then we will cater that session to meet those specific goals of the athlete. However... A general Basic Session Plan will include stretching and playing catch - to warm up your arm, infield and outfield practice, base running and placement/timing for steals, and then we will finish off with batting practice. Personalized plans are also available for infield, outfield, pitching, catching, and batting (with a pitching machine). The field includes a full sized diamond with the pitching rubber set at 60'6" and bases at 90'. We can use a smaller portable mound and throw-down bases for younger players. The Home-Run Fence is set at 260' at the foul poles, and at 280' dead center - the perfect distance for players to learn to hit Dingers!
