More About Coach Antoine

I began volunteering as an assistant coach with the sprinters at Wiesbaden High School in Wiesbaden Germany for their 2012-2013 track & field season. I came into a program who has never won any championship meets in their school history. This was a program with a group full of talent but only missing that one piece which was someone with the knowledge of making them better sprinters. I have students who had never run track before who now love the sport and regret not getting involved sooner. This school allowing me to be a part of this program bought them in their first ever boys DODDS European Championship. This was the first in school history and hopefully not the last. I coach some athlete who had no experience at sprinting to being the best in the Europeans.
Track Team Achievements:
• 1st place finish as a team at the DODDS European Championship Meet
• 1st place finish in the boys 100m dash at Europeans(Anthony Little 10.92)
• 1st place finish in the boys 200m dash at Europeans(Anthony Little 22.62)
• 1st place finish in the boys 4x100m relay at Europeans(42.98)
• 1st place finish in the boys Medley relay at Europeans (3:37.22)

After having such a great 2013 season I was relocated with the United State Army from Wiesbaden Germany to Savannah, Georgia. Once on station my number one goal was to find a home within somebodies track and field program. My daughter was attending St. Andrews School which is a private school on Wilmington Island in Georgia. I took over their sprint program and within my first season from the result below you can see how I made a difference in their program. Unfortunately after my first season the military called again and I was relocated to Aberdeen Maryland. It was an honor to coach such a fine group of talented athletes with a great future ahead of them and their program.

2014 Track Team Achievements:
• 3rd place finish on girls side at the SCISA State Track & Field Meet (6 Girls competed)
• 1st place finish in the girls 100m dash at State (Rebecca Suh 13.07)
• 1st place finish in the girls 200m dash at State (Rebecca Suh 26.75)
• 1st place finish in the girls 4x100m relay at State (53.02 School Record)
• 1st place finish in the girls 4x400m relay at State (4:18 School Record)
• 5th place finish in the boys 100m dash at State (Malcom Williams 12.09)

2015 Indoor Track Team Achievements:
- 2015 USATF Indoor National Champion in the 60 dash (Female) (Sandy Triolo Age 53)

High School: Alamogordo High School 1999-2001
I found my love for Track & Field my junior year of high after not finding what I wanted in sports from baseball. I competed two years of track and field while attending Alamogordo High School in Alamogordo New Mexico. For someone who never ran a race in their life track and I found a liking for one another. I place 3rd place in the 100 and 200 meter dash at the 2000 New Mexico High School State Meet. Leaving myself some room to grow and improve going into my senior year of school. Follow great performances from my junior year I came back my senior year to place 1st in the 100 and 200 meter dash of the State meet. I was then invited to compete in the 26th Annual Great Southwest Track & Field Classic entering in with a 10.55 in the 100 m dash and 21.56 in the 200 m dash. I placed well against a group of talented athletes from surrounding state finishing 1st place in the 100 with a time of 10.43 and second in the 200 with a time of 21.91. After doing well at a high quality meet like that I was then invited to a bigger stage of track the 42nd Golden West Invitational where I didn’t compete as well as I did at the pervious meet finishing 9th in the 100 m dash with a time of 11.17(-8.6 wind) finishing up with a great two great years of my high school track & field career.

Junior College: Central Arizona College 2001-2003
I then went on to continue my track career at Central Arizona College where I was recruited to run the 100, 200 meter dash and to be a member of the 4x100 meter relay. Due some injury of a pull groin set me back on my performance level keeping me from competing at the level I should have been at. However I was able to be a part of one of the schools top 4 x100 relay teams placing sixth on the record board with a time of 39.51.

4Year University: Boise State University 2003-2006
While attending the BSU on a scholarship I was named the team captain for the last three years of my track & field career. With this University really not being a sprint school I knew I had my hands full with being one of the top few sprinters on the roster. Life then a little bit harder had to run everything but in the end I was very pleased with my results from where I started to where I’m at now. Running personal time in all four events was a great deal for someone who started a late track career. In the end I was the outdoor 400 m dash champ at the 2006 West Athletic Conference in Honolulu Hawaii.

Client Reviews

Coach was very detailed when it came to setting up training for my son who is 14. He also went to one of my son’s games to watch him play in live action which really impressed us.

The initial meeting was very straight forward and included accountability/responsibility for my son. As Coach put it “I’m training your son…not you or your spouse. Therefore I expect him to be accountable not only to himself but all of those who are helping him get better.”

Call it tough talk or straight forward expectations, but it was 100% appreciated as a parent. This is the kind of Coach that impacts kids in the right way and expects his player/athlete to earn every bit by doing what the other 99% won’t or doesn’t want to do.

Coach has my vote, and if you try him he’ll have yours, too.

My son enjoys training with Coach Antoine. He is very patient and encouraging. After training with him, my son feels that he is performing better and has more endurance. I would definitely recommend training with Coach Antoine.

Coach Tony is fantastic. He really knows his stuff, is great with my 14 y/o son, as well as my two older daughters. He customizes each plan to match the goals of each athlete. Highly recommend working with him.

Coach Antoine was wonderful. He took the time to talk to my son about his goals and what he wanted to work on, very responsive, and demonstrated thorough knowledge on sprinter technique and development. Very happy we were able to find him.

My 13yo daughter plays soccer... we wanted to increase her speed on the field and found Antoine. We have had 2 sessions and I couldn’t be more thrilled with the training he provides... his attention to every detail as she works out is amazing. His exercises keep her fully engaged and the variety ensures a full body improvement.

To make it even better, he has a fantastic demeanor offering nothing but encouragement and positive feedback... we work out at 6:30 in the morning and my daughter has already changed her attitude about getting up in the morning to meet with Antoine..

I could not give a higher recommendation to a personal trainer! I have every intention of continuing the training relationship and my daughter couldn’t be more thrilled👌

Great coach! He takes his time and talks to the Athletes. Very passionate about running and teaching, and you can see it during every session!! I’ll be requesting his services In the future!

We were interested in getting my high school son training on sprinting and Coach Antoine, having the unique experience of being a current sprinter, fit the bill perfectly. His training techniques resonated well with our son, so much so that he looks forward to future sessions with great enthusiasm. Coach Antoine is very personable and able to quickly connect with his trainees. Greatly recommend Coach Antoine!

My son has really benefited from coach Antoine's session. He is actually a baseball player and wanted to get faster on the base pads. The principles of running and sprinting that coach Antoine is teaching him will definitely translate to his speed in baseball. Looking forward to continuing our work with Antoine!

Coach Antoine is absolutely amazing! My 5 and 6 year old boys absolutely love him. He makes track fun and interesting. His lessons each week are varied, and help strengthen their body and mind. He has helped with their confidence and they are running markedly faster because of him.

Coach Antoine is a great coach. He is very knowledgeable of the sport and has a heart to seeing you succeed in your goal.

Coach Antoine has been a great working with my son. My son hates doing any kind of training, after one session with Antoine he was looking forward to each session. I noticed an improvement in my sons strength speed and endurance after two sessions. He knows how to get the most out of you in every sessions.

The sessions have been great, and Coach Antoine has been great as well. We've worked on techniques like how to use my arms to help my speed and endurance, as well as making sure I'm getting my knees high enough to maximize my stride. We did drills like hopping from my knees to feet and staying low to help my explosiveness. I'm learning a lot, and this will all be great insight for me and my research into what it takes to be a great runner.

Coach Tony was extremely knowledgable and professional. He is attentive to what the athlete needs and helps tailor training to improve weaknesses. Strongly recommend.

Coach Antoine is a great coach. I like to analyze coaches in general and make sure they are developing my son. What I saw was a coach who comes with a plan. His workouts are not the same every time you’re working out with him. My son is very receptive to his coaching style and he is having fun. My son has improved his time due to his coaching. Honestly, I could not have asked for a better coach.

My son had a great first session with Coach Antoine. Really focused on his technique and helping my son build the foundation he needs to improve.

I can't say enough about Coach Antonie, he helped me with a number of aspects of my sprinting. The fine tuning, specific drills and sport specific discussions really helped achieve my goal of winning a National Championship at the USATF Indoor Masters this year. Having a Coach that really understood my challenges and could give me tips and advice and skills enabled me to take it to the next level this year. Looking forward to outdoor track!

My child had his first workout with coach Antoine this past Saturday. I was thoroughly impressed with the session. Coach was early for the session he took his time with my child. The session wasn't rushed at all. Coach Antoine took his time to explain to my child why he was performing each exercise and the benefit of the exercise. I'm a former college athlete and I have a pretty good working knowledge of what a good workout should consist of. I didn't really know what to expect going into this situation. However I was surprised by coach Antoine's professionalism his knowledge and patience with my child. More importantly my child was excited and can't wait until his next session. If you're looking for a great instructor with a wealth of knowledge coach Antoine is your guy!

Dear Coach Antoine Echols, I would like to personally thank you for volunteering your time with the Wiesbaden boys and girls track team. This team could not have been a success without your help and time. You were a vital assist and we appreciate the time you took to coach/teach our long and short sprinters. Your knowledge of sprinting and technique was vital to the success we had as a team During our season, the 200+ volunteer hours you contributed will be a standard hard to achieve for all volunteers in the future. Thanks to the assistance of volunteers like you, we are one step closer to achieving the goals and standards we have for our athletes! Once again, thank you for your efforts and contribution of time to the Wiesbaden track team! We look forward to seeing you during track season next year. Thank you!
My first session as a member of Coach Up was with Patricia Jackson. She wanted me to speak with her son and try to motivate him on getting back on the track. They are current member of D-1 training facility and wanted me to work with her son Reggie Williams foot speed and quickness over the hurdlers. I spoke on the phone with Miss Jackson and promise to meet with him to work out a plan and practice location. I took it upon myself to make a visit to their home to speak with Reggie about his goal and what he desired from me as a coach. To make a long story he wasn’t really to focus on getting back to track and field, so his mother pulled the plug on the session. She told me that when he was ready to get back at it she would keep me in mind. I tried and that’s my goal in life to give athletes what they deserve; which is some encouragement to do better than the next.
