Greetings runners!!! My name is Drew Petersen and I will be your personal coach through Petersen Coaching Services. A bit about me. I am a semi-professional runner competing for Skechers and currently an assistant coach at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo for the cross country and track teams. I received my BS from UC Davis in 2013 in exercise biology and am currently working on my masters in Kinesiology at Cal Poly. I am also USA Track and Field certified coach and coach the summer youth club for Davis Community Track and Field Club in Davis, California. In 2012-2013, I assisted the fantastic coach Bill Gregg at Davis Senior High School for both cross county and track. Along with my athletes at Cal Poly, I also coach a small group of post collegiate athletes currently competing in distances from the mile to marathon.
What can you expect from Petersen Coaching Services? Petersen Coaching Services offers personalized coaching through email and phone contact. The training is focused on steady improvement and healthy running. Athletes will receive weekly emails with training and notes from me. Athletes are welcomed and encouraged to email any questions and concerns about the training. The ‘A’ option allows athletes to have text and phone contact with me as well. I will also send out any nutritional, stretching, strength work etc. that I come across that I find interesting and helpful. My mission is to help guide you to your goals whether it be to qualify for the Olympic trials, the Boston marathon, or run your first 5k. All abilities and starting points are welcome. That’s what makes running such a fantastic sport, everyone can experience personal achievement and health!
