More About Coach Alycia

After coaching at the University levels (DI & DII) as a pole vault/multi's/ jumps coach, I look forward to helping you advance your athletic career! After my NCAA DII 3-time All-American experience in the pole vault, USA Track & Field level 2 coach certification, and 4 years coaching at the collegiate level, I am furthering my education and coaching with a Masters degree.

My favorite is the pole vault, which I have various drills and exercises to advance you to the next height! While coaching multiple events, I introduce various fundamentals to gain general strength and speed. I strongly reinforce the importance of gaining full body strength through Olympic lifting techniques.

I look forward to working with any level athlete; middle school, high school, college level, masters and unattached!

YOUR EXPERIENCE & GOALS
It is very important to me, to know your personal goals towards your specific event, as well as life aspirations! I ask how much exposure you have had in your event, to better understand your experience level. More importantly, what performance level do you view yourself successful?
WORKOUTS
A typical workout consists of:
Dynamic warm-up (30min)
Event specific technical work (45min)
Sprint/run specific workout (30min)
Cool down (15 min)
Weights (if applicable, 30 min)
... With a weight program, you will have the ability to gain necessary strength and power that is transferable to your event. Without a weight program, this is a general idea of what is needed to maintain fitness levels, and improve technical aspects of your event.
*This type of workout is based on an annual periodization plan that consists of (2.5hrs, 5-6 days per week).

Client Reviews

My daughter just finished her second session with Coach Alycia and absolutely loves her! As a parent, I truly appreciate Coach Alycia's patience and the manner in which she has adjusted her teaching/training to accommodate the younger athlete. I highly recommend Coach Alycia to any parent with a child participating in track and field, not only for her expertise, but also for her genuine concern.
