More About Coach Alissa

I have volunteer experience coaching at Washington State University (pac-12) and I also volunteered coached at a high school level. I usually work with an age group from 15-22 but I’m not opposed to training any age. My main event is the heptathlon, therefore I have plenty of experience in each event to coach them.

I competed at Washington State University in the heptathlon and 400 hurdles in college. I’ve won three Pac-12 championships, became a 2 time All American, and run for the USA national team.

I typically would like to discuss the purpose of the session and the individuals goals. A session can be drill based for acceleration purposes or technique based for certain events or even running mechanics. If an athlete would like to get in running shape, I would create a work out session plan for them as well.

Client Reviews

My daughter is a scholarship athlete at a D1 school. The coaching is good, as you might expect at a D1 school, but unfortunately, they don't have someone who specializes in her event, hurdles. My daughter sent several videos to Coach Alissa of her practicing and competing. After reviewing the videos, Coach Alissa and my daughter met via Facetime and went through breaking down all the subtle nuances that my daughter has been missing. My daughter told me she had over a page of notes and that she loved the attention to detail and interaction with Coach Alissa. My daughter is looking forward to integrating a lot of the concepts she learned after her conference championship, and she's excited to work with Coach Alissa again.
