More About Coach Aleigh

I have been training individual players for 10 years. I have also been coaching 1-to-1s and group sessions with Prime Coaching while playing professionally in Scotland. Lastly, I coached groups of players at soccer camps at the University of North Carolina while I was playing and studying there. I have experience coaching young girls and boys from the ages of 5 to 18 years old who played club, travel, high school, and some potential college soccer. My session focus more on tactical development, technical aspects, confidence on the ball, and creativity. With all my years of experience, I have learned that everyone likes to train differently, and that has helped me individualize my sessions for each of my players. I believe being a professional soccer player gives me a great advantage when coaching. I have endless amounts of drills, I can relate my drills to moments during games, and I can give advice to players aspiring to play travel, in college, and even professionally. I love soccer and coaching helps me share that love with other soccer players.

I started playing soccer when I was around 5 years old. I grew up playing for McLean ECNL (Elite Clubs National League), and we won the national championship in June 2018. When I played in the ECNL, I was awarded a spot on the 2018-2019 ECNL All-America Team. In that same year, I won the Mid-Atlantic Conference player of the year for the U18/19 age group. I played Division I soccer at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. I played as a forward or midfielder. We won the ACC tournament my freshman year, and we made it to the national championship finals my freshmen and senior year and the semifinals my sophomore year. After graduating, I played 6 months professional in Denmark for Fortuna Horring. After that, I played with Glasgow City in Scotland for 2 seasons. I won Team of the Year for the Scottish Women’s Premier League (SWPL), Player’s player of the year, and coaches player of the year this past season (2024-2025). I will be back in Virginia this summer before heading back abroad to continue my professional career.

My session typically center around what the player wants to work on. For example, I can have a session that we focus on their first touch, passing, finishing, crossing, dribbling, clearances, 1v1s, and so much more. I like to begin my sessions with a dynamic warm up, then go into some technical touches and then the drills I planned for whatever the player wants to focus on. Lastly, I like to end my sessions with some juggling or any other fun, short drill. I use drills that I have been using myself since I started playing soccer, and I also use drills I have learned from other coaches or other players I have trained with. I do my best to make sure not to waste any time while out on the field. I have my sessions planned out, lots of balls at hand, and equipment set up. I never want a player to dread coming to a session with me, so I like to keep it energetic and fun.

Client Reviews

Aleigh is a great coach, with a positive attitude. She is an accomplished young woman who is a great example for my 14 year old daughter, who likes the instruction so much she pays for half with her own money. We completed 5 sessions and just purchased more. Each session is fun and FILLED with great instruction.

Coach Aleigh was an amazing coach. We booked 3 sessions for my U11 travel player and Aleigh showed up prepared each time with thoughtful, value-added drills and skill-building activities based upon desired outcomes we discussed ahead of time. She was punctual, provided actionable feedback and had a positive attitude. We will definitely be booking more sessions with Coach Aleigh!

My daughter had a great session with Aleigh. My daughter received great feedback and pointers on how to improve. Aleigh was also very friendly and encouraging. She made my daughter feel comfortable and provided positive feedback when she did well. Aleigh was quick to recognize my daughters level of play and adjusted her training accordingly. I will use Aleigh again as time allows.

Aleigh was great to work with and very encouraging.

Aleigh is great with our son. We highly recommend her!

Coach Aleigh is excellent! She's not only a top-notch soccer player herself, she's got a great attitude, she's encouraging and she's a great instructor. Not everyone who can play well is also a great at teaching. She can do both. The drills were just what I needed to improve my game. I would highly recommend her for both new and advanced players.
