More About Coach Alana
I have 10 years experience working with athletes of various ages and levels from middle school to college. Working with such a large variety of age groups and athletes from various sports has taught me how unique each and every athlete is. I have helped shy and timid athletes become confident on and off the field, and I have helped untamed athletes become more cool and collected on the field. My athletes who show up consistently and put in hard work to transform not only their game on the field, but also become the best versions of the themselves off the field as well.
I incorporate injury prevention, strength, as well as speed and agility. I believe it is important to build a solid framework that we can grow for long-term athletic development. Therefore, working with me includes skill work for my athletes to work on at home because one or two hours per week is not enough to produce such results. We will further discuss commitment after our first session. I offer in-person, virtual, and hybrid options.
My goal as a coach is to help athletes tap into their inner source of strength and realize how much potential they have. I will help them become aware of that potential, tap into it, reach it, and then strive beyond what they thought they were capable of. For instance, ever single female youth athlete has the ability to do pull-ups - it just takes hard work and consistency.
I played Varsity soccer and lacrosse in high school, both for 4 years. I decided not to play in college because I was struggling with my mental health and burned out. That's why I focus on the mental side of training as well the physical side with my athletes, so they don't went through what I did.
Instead of playing soccer, I ran marathons. I become interested in strength, speed, and agility when I became confused as to why I could not do a pull-up, however I could run 26.2 miles. I can now do several weighted pull-ups, and I still run but a lot less distance at a much faster pace, and play soccer in various adult leagues.
Your first session with me will assess basic movements patterns. From there, I will gain a better understanding of where your framework is and we will build a plan for you to improve and/or start your journey towards reaching long-term athletic development. This will include improving speed, agility, and strength. Assessments that I include are dash times (such as the 20 yard dash) to assess first step and explosiveness, broad jump to asses strength, a 300 yard conditioning drill, and movement patterns. I will also ask questions to see where the athlete is at with their mindset and to gain a better understanding of individual goals. These assessments vary based on age and sport. Yes, we will work hard, but we will also have fun. I believe making exercise and speed fun is important for long term athletic development, and also the build a healthy lifestyle in the future.

We have done two sessions with Coach Alana & with the time spent you can see a huge confidence boost and as a parent that’s all I ever wanted.
Coach Alana is incredibly knowledgeable about the game of soccer, but more than that she is able to relate with my daughter. She treats every training session with the utmost professionalism. She approaches each session completely prepared. She is not only prepared for what she is trying to accomplish in that session, but how to personalize it so that my daughter is getting the most out of each training session. She is always set up and ready to go on time.
We can’t wait to see the growth our daughter has as we continue to train with Coach Alana.Thank you, Coach Alana.

Coach Alana was a great experience for our son - she helped him in a number of areas: agility, torque/explosiveness, confidence and match fitness needed to compete in competitive soccer. This was a great supplement to his standard travel program soccer coaching. Recommended!++

Coach Alana is great! She is working with my son to get him ready for the fall soccer season (for school) and I have no doubt she will help him grow as a player and develop the necessary skills. She takes time to understand what the player is looking to achieve and works with them to achieve those skills! Highly recommend Alana!

Alana is flexible enough to adjust her training plans after quickly assessing my groups talent level on the first session. I appreciate the way she engaged the girls! They all seemed to enjoy her!
