More About Coach Ajök
Currently coaching USL Academy U-20 Men's team and Mullen High School boys varsity team.
I've been a private coach for 14 successful years now and greatly enjoy it. I carried a USSF C license and NSCAA level I&II coaching licenses along with years of playing experience.
My main areas of skills are: dribbling, footwork, first touches, passing (short and long), conditioning, agility, and the more tactical aspects of the game. I start the session with a warm-up for about 10-15 minutes, usually a dynamic warm-up with a ball, and then go into game-related activities. The session runs for 60 to 75 minutes depending on the conditioning of the athlete(s). I usually do breaks between stations/exercises for feedback and reflections. At the end of the session, I process the session with an athlete on what they did right and what they need to work on. Also, I give homework to the players to allow them to challenge themselves before the next session.
Overall, football is about having fun, and as much as I try to build and make it educational, I heavily favor it when an individual is willing to take what I'm preaching and apply it in the best way that fits their style of football.
